Hi friend, and welcome.
If you’ve found your way here—whether through Instagram, TikTok, Pinterest, or just a quiet late-night scroll—you’re arriving right at the beginning of By Charnè. And honestly? I’m so glad you’re here.
This space has lived in my heart for a while. I’ve always loved words—telling stories, reflecting on life, capturing little moments of hope in the middle of everyday mess. But like most things, I kept putting it off. Life felt too busy… too unsettled… too uncertain.
And yet, here I am. Sitting in the middle of moving boxes, one hand on my growing belly, about to step into motherhood for the very first time at 30-something… finally pressing “publish” on this blog I’ve talked myself out of more times than I can count.
Why Now?
Because if there’s one thing I’m learning in this season, it’s that God doesn’t wait for life to feel perfect before He moves.
Between preparing for our first baby, packing up our little apartment, and settling deeper into life here in Australia (after moving from South Africa), I’ve realised there’s never going to be a moment where everything feels ready.
And that’s okay.
This blog isn’t about perfectly filtered moments or having it all figured out. It’s about faith in the middle of change, motherhood in real time, and holding onto hope when things feel equal parts exciting and overwhelming.
What You’ll Find Here
by Charnè is a space where faith and everyday life meet.
Here’s a little of what you can expect:
🌿 Honest reflections from a Christian motherhood blog perspective
🤍 Unfiltered pregnancy diaries from a first-time mum in Australia
🏡 Moving house while pregnant updates, sprinkled with faith and real talk
📝 Lifestyle content—devotionals, Bible verses, prayers, and simple moments of joy
If you’re looking for a perfectly curated highlight reel… this probably won’t be that.
But if you’re here for encouragement, honesty, and a little reminder that you’re not alone in your own big life changes—welcome.
The Verse Getting Me Through
Right now, I’m holding onto this:
“For I know the plans I have for you”—this is the Lord’s declaration—“plans for your well-being, not for disaster, to give you a future and a hope.”
— Jeremiah 29:11 (CSB)
This season is teaching me that God’s plans are good—even when they look different to mine.
Thank you for being here.
